Bebe's Books!!!

I must admit, hubby influenced me into books more than anybody else. Since we got married, we normally spend a few hours in the library finding "treasures" every so often. We don't buy unused books because they're just not practical for frugal peeps like us :o) We go to libraries and discount used book stores to find good deals.

Same is true with baby books. Goodness, I think we got more books for our baby than toys. Seriously... I'm not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing. Hubby just loves reading to Anikka before we go to bed... so I end up being lulled instead, hahaa :o) This makes me appreciate him all the more... sooo precious seeing him enjoy these times with his unborn child...

When I went to look for wicker baskets for the nursery some weeks ago, I found myself in the kids books section. I think I hoarded like 15 books at once!! The cashier even asked me if I'm a school teacher because of the number of books I have with me. Hahah!

Hubby's niece in Hawaii was raised with books more than toys as well. She's now 7 years old and I remembered the first time I met her (she was 4), she was already reading her books to me!!!! I was sooo amazed that at 4 she can already read flawlessly!!!! She didn't even understand what some of the words mean but she can read them!!!! Isn't it amazing???!!!

Anyways, the reason I'm writing about this is because hubby's done with Anikka's bookshelf cum bench as well. This is something that hubby insisted of having since we got a lot of books for her already. As of this writing, there are some more books that were added in her "collection" than those shown in these photos.

Of course, hubby being a music lover as well, he hooked up some stereo/speakers in her room as well so we can easily plug our music players if needed :o)

Excited na talga si hubby for his daughter.. everything looks ready na :o)
