"To Be Honest..." #@!&%$*

If there's one & only one pet peeve that I have, it's nothing else but hearing people say this to start off their statements "To be honest... blah blah blah"... arrrggghhh... irritating!!!!

Why is that, you might ask?

I mean, come on guys... what does it come to say when you speak and don't utter those words first??? Does that mean that you're being dishonest with everything else that you say??? Shucks. I can't stand it people... really really irritating!!! If you are true to your words all the time, why do you need to start off by saying those stupid fillers anyways???

Ramiele's the Bomb!!!

Need I say more? I voted like 10 times, I think :o)

Go Ramiele!!!!

I've never been an avid American Idol fan.

The first time I've seen it was when I heard Chris Daughtry sang, so that was season 5. I didn't even vote. I just watched.

I didn't care much about AI after season 5.

Now, I'm purposedly missing yoga tonight because I cannot afford to miss Ramielle sing - even if I can record the show. And yes, I'm going to vote for her. And yes, this is the first time I'm going to vote.

I really think she's talented and she's sooo sweet.

Go Ramiele!!! We're sooo proud of you girl!!! To the Pinoy community around the world, let's support the kid, show her some love :o)

Since hubby is a big fan of "Peanuts" comic strip since he was little, I surprised him last night and took him to the local musical show of "You're A Good Man Charlie Brown". It's my v-day gift to him actually :o)

It turned out to be a good show, we both enjoyed it a lot :o) It's a remake of the original Broadway show back in the 60's. Snoopy was hilarious and Sally was witty and funny as well. I also like Lucy, she's the usual crabby gal who's infatuated with Shroeder, haha!

After the show, I now have a new additional feel good song in my playlist - Happiness :o)

Thank goodness to technology these days, converting Youtube flv's to mp3's is just a breeze. Though it took me forever to find a good software, but it's all worth it, haha :o)

I'm really happy happy happy happy happy!

All About L.O.V.E.

Happy V-day everyone! Thanks to my friends who swung by and left messages through my blog, Friendster and Facebook! Much love to you all!

I thought I'd blog this today just in time for the hearts day, haha :o)

Firstly, I would like to wish my sister and her ex-bf (now fiance) all the best for taking the next big step and are now engaged!!! Lotsa love goes to both of them as they've conquered a not-so-easy-long-distance relationship ---- one in Texas and the other one in Singapore. Kudos to George for going through the traditional Filipino courtship - from asking our parents' blessings first, then of course, the uber sweet proposal & finally, the "pamamanhikan". Everything well planned and executed!! I'm really impressed, good job!!! Also, thanks for agreeing to have the wedding ceremony in Pinas. It really meant so much for us especially our parents. Kudos man!

Ok, now my turn for some kilig moments, haha.

I came back home pretty late today cuz there's a lot of stuff going on at work. When I came back home, hubby asked me right away if I wanted my "gift" today or do I want to wait for tomorrow. I was like "HUH?" (Yep, ladies and gentlemen, I almost forgot it was almost V-day).

Hubby then escorted me to our bedroom and this was what greeted me :o)

So I must admit, it doesn't take much to amuse me. As long as I know he spent some time to plan on something, I'm happy with it :o) I really think it's sweet of him to go through the trouble to getting his little "surprise" for me :o) Plus not to mention, he got me an external hard drive which I've been wanting to get for myself for the longest time but I just didn't have the time to do so.

Feeling ko ang corny namin, heheee.

Anyways, since I've already started being mushy, might as well I'd let it out all the way. I thought I'd share some pics I took of how I said the "L" word to my hubby the first time :o)

Yep, I said the "L" word the first time through candles :o) Dang, corny ko talaga, haha :o)

Unlike our culture in the Phils where the couple would say ILU's to seal the deal of being exclusive to each other, it doesn't work the same way here. People here starts dating exclusively but they don't say ILU's to each other right away. When you say something like that, that means, you wanted to bring your relationship to the next level. Isn't it confusing?? Haha :o)

So it took me sometime to say ILU back to sweeps even after dating for a few months. When he said it for the first time, I was really stunned and I didn't know what to say. I didn't want to say it until I was sure that I really do love him. So when that time came that I was sure, I dunno how to say it without being awkward so I thought of the candle thingie. Feeling ko nag propose ako, haha :o)

I remembered we had dinner that time and I asked him to close his eyes. Then I lit the candles to reveal the "words" hiding on each candle jar. It's a bit tricky, I really made sure he wouldn't see the words until the candles were lit. So, I asked him to open his eyes and just waited if he would be able to notice the words on the jars :o) Cute noh?

Anyhoo, I didn't want to sound all too loveydovey now, I just thought I'd share this here :o) What about you folks, how did you say the "L" word the first time to your sweetie?

Hope everyone is having a blast with their special someone :o)

Hilarious Superbowl 42 Ads

I don't understand how football is being played so the only reason why I watch Superbowl every year is because of the 30 sec ads that come with it :o) Or else, I've got nothing to share in the office when people start talking about Superbowl, haha :o)

This year they had it here in Arizona, so for the past month, it felt that everyone has been preparing for the big SUPER day. With star studded parties, gorgeous people everywhere, everyone seemed to be thrilled. Most department stores would have a corner just for Superbowl 42 merchandise. Super neat!

Congrats to the Giants fans, it turned out to be exciting at the end of the last quarter. I couldn't imagine how the parents of the Manning brothers felt when both their sons won the MVP back to back for '07 & '08! Wow. Though I really like the Patriots' quarterback - the super hottie Tom Brady. Oh well, I don't care who won actually. I'm just happy seeing the ads :o)

Anyways, one of the ads that made me & hubby fall off our seats is the Doritos' Mouse Trap ad. I even voted for this as the 2nd quarter's best ad from MSNBC poll, heeheee :o)

When and How did you know...

This is my answer to my online girlfriend Mec, who, in the spirit of the upcoming V-day, posted this question to her blog: "When & how did you know that you want to spend the rest of your life with your spouse? That he is THE ONE" :o)

Surprisingly, this is an easy question for me, ha! I've always remembered that moment that I knew he is the ONE... it was the first time I felt that the world around us stopped, and suddenly it was just me and him around hundreds of people. Cheesy, hahah!

It was New Year 2005. We were at the Tempe Townlake New Year party. They've had live bands - Smashmouth was there, Kelly Clarkson was there as well. It was a big crowd, everyone's waiting for the strike of the clock... then the countdown for the New Year began. Sweeps was standing behind me with his arms wrapped around my shoulders. Together with the crowd we were counting down... then the awesome fireworks started... he kissed me and the time stood still. For some reason, I just felt sooooooooo loved and safe with him. It was the most memorable New Year of my life.

I've always imagined myself watching fireworks with my boyfriend, I've always wanted to be in a rock band concert singing at the top of my lungs even if I can't carry a tune with my significant other & I've always wanted to spend the holidays with the guy that I love. All of these were realized in one night. I didn't even tell him about those secret "wanna's" of mine. He just made them happen for me. It was soooo intense I remembered wishing that night wouldn't end.

We were dating for a little over 5 months that New Year's eve. Then Feb 16, 2005 he asked me to marry him. March 28, 2005 I officially became Mrs John Goya :o) Ang bilis noh??

So there, that's how & when I knew the ONE finally found me ;o) Kinikilig pa rin ako everytime I think about it... hahaha :o)
